Tuesday, May 5th is Election Day here in Stark County and I am emailing you today to ask for your help in continuing to move our community forward by supporting William J. Healy, our endorsed candidate for Mayor of Canton.
Workers in our community have a friend in Mayor Healy because he understands the challenges facing working people and their families.
Mayor Healy has spent his years in public service standing up for the middle class and creating opportunities for our neighbors to find a path out of poverty.
When Mayor Healy was first elected in 2007, our community and our country was in an economic free fall and through his leadership, we are now seeing new investment and economic progress that is creating jobs for our friends and neighbors. He did this by bringing together labor, business and community leaders with a common purpose of making Canton a place where you can live and work with dignity and pride.
Despite heavy headwinds from budget cuts and decreased state revenue created by Governor Kasich and the Ohio General Assembly, Mayor Healy has moved Canton forward by focusing on improved safety, education, investing in our neighborhoods and creating jobs.
Mayor Healy has stood with workers when they needed him. On Election Day, I am asking you to stand with Mayor Healy in his re-election for Mayor of Canton.
