Member leaders with SEIU District 1199 recently met for the AFL-CIO’s State Legislative Conference in Charleston, West Virginia. Among other work, they held meetings at the Statehouse to discuss the need for Union jobs and priorities important to working families.
From anti-union attacks to “right-to-work” legislation, West Virginia’s working families have faced many challenges. Members of SEIU District 1199 WV/KY/OH work in diverse and important sectors of the economy. They often stand together to speak out for state funding for health care, the protection of retirement savings, and social services, among other important fiscal priorities.
Members that formed the delegation included Vicki Tully, Member Vice President for West Virginia, in addition to John A. Hindman and Ethel Turner. We are stronger together.
