Library Workers Hold Community Candlelight Vigil Over Safety Concerns at Cleveland Public Library Branches

Community, Labor and Faith Leaders Unite for Safety & Security of our Libraries

CLEVELAND, OHIO – On Wednesday, December 4th, community, labor and faith leaders will gather at 7pm outside of the South Brooklyn branch of the Cleveland Public Library for a candlelight vigil.

The vigil comes just four short months after a 19-year-old young man was found inside the South Brooklyn library with multiple gunshot wounds and later died.

Workers, patrons and visitors of the library remain concerned about the safety and security at this branch and library branches throughout the city.
