Community, Labor and Faith Leaders say now is the time to “turn the page” on understaffing and unsafe conditions at Cleveland Public Library branches.
CLEVELAND, OHIO – On Friday the 13th, community, labor, and faith leaders will gather at 7:00 PM at Public Square in Downtown Cleveland to rally against major concessions proposed by library executives that have left many branches under-staffed and unsafe.
Union members with the Cleveland Public Library work diligently on behalf of the public every day, however their service to the community has become increasingly more difficult as Cleveland Public Library executives have eroded staffing, increased workloads, and ignored the concerns of patrons and employees about safety and security.
