Tax Credit Could Yield You Thousands!
Huntington –The Southwest Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition will prepare tax returns for hardworking individuals and families at free tax preparation sites throughout Cabell, Wayne and Lincoln counties, WV and Lawrence County, OH.
The EITC is for hard working families with annual incomes less than $39,783. The EITC is a special federal tax credit that may provide up to $4,716 for qualified filers. Tax returns can be filed electronically and deposited into a bank account within 7 to 10 days at no charge.
EITC volunteers has helped hundreds of filers improve their quality of life by becoming more financially stable.
Filers should take the following with them to free tax prep sites: a social security card of the filer, spouse and children; a picture ID; federal IRS tax forms for 2007; wage and earnings statement (W-2 forms) from each 2007 employer; other tax forms or receipts of income interest, and dividends; child and dependent care information; and a copy of last year’s tax returns if available. Filers must not have investment income exceeding $2,900.
