Senator Tim Grendell (R-18) and Senator Bill Seitz (R-8) have proposed a new bill in the Ohio Senate that would restructure state government and establish the State Correctional Institution Privatization Commission, which would:

• - Study the Ohio DRC operations and management
• - Study the operation and management of private institutions
• - Develop a plan for the transfer of the operation and management of at least one-half of Ohio's state managed correctional institutions to a undesignated private entity
